Staff Perspective: Around the Web
This time around we'd like to do something a little different and take a moment to point our users to the excellent piece in the Washington Post, "A Legacy of Pain and Pride" written by Rajiv Chandrasekaran. This article looks at the findings from a poll of Veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan conducted by The Post and the Kaiser Family Foundation. The results of the poll are fascinating, despite the difficulties faced by Service members and Veterans almost 90 percent of respondents say that they would join again, knowing what they know now.
It's a lengthy read, but it is well worth the time spent. Every one, especially behavioral health providers working with a military population, would be well-served by reading it.
