Staff Perspectives: Spotlight on CDP Podcasts

At the Center for Deployment Psychology, we’re always looking for new ways to fulfill our mission to provide training and education to behavioral health provider to ensure they’re able to offer the highest-quality care to Service members and Veterans. On our website, we use several avenues to try and facilitate this effort and today we’re going to take a look at one of those methods, specifically, podcasts.

Staff Perspective: Virtually There - CDP's Online Training Efforts

We here at the Center for Deployment Psychology are dedicated to our mission of offering high-quality training on evidence-based treatments for behavioral health providers. To help further this cause, we’ve recently begun offering training opportunities online. We recognize that taking time away from their practice and clients, in addition to the expense and hassle of travel are significant hurdles to many providers when it comes to attending live, face-to-face CDP events. These new online training sessions allow us to reach out to providers who otherwise may not be able to attend.

Staff Perspective: Live Online PE Training, Part 2

Last Thursday and Friday, the Center for Deployment Psychology held an online training in Prolonged Exposure Therapy via Second Life. The CDP’s virtual education center played host to a group of providers from around the country as they were instructed in the methods of PE through slides, videos and interactive role-playing elements with their fellow workshop participants.

Staff Voices: CDP in the Media

The Center for Deployment Psychology received a nice mention in the media last week. Several news outlets picked up the press release on our recent efforts working with Army One Source.  As part of the CDP’s continuing efforts to ensure the availability of high-quality training, we’re helping Army One Source to provide “free online continuing education training to behavioral health providers, social workers, psychiatrists, psychologists, physicians, registered nurses, and professional counselors and therapists.”
