Last summer my colleague Holly O’Reilly filled you in on some of the changes to the PTSD diagnosis with the publication of DSM-5.  After reviewing the changes side-by-side, I thought it might be helpful to share this table with you detailing the differences, so you could look at the key changes in context and get a handle on what is different and what has stayed the same.

Staff Voices: The Next Step in Virtual Reality Treatment

Using virtual reality to help assist in the treatment of PTSD is nothing new. There have been numerous efforts to simulate stressful situations from the safety of a therapist’s office,  including the Virtual Iraq program,  the T2 Virtual PTSD Experience in Second Life by the National Institute of Telehealth and Technology and several others.
